Our automatic installation image will be updated in the next few days to come.
Customers with an existing Proxmox 1.1 installation can use the update script provided on the download page, but will need 2 further steps after the update and before the reboot:
-> re-create initrd: update-initramfs -tuk 2.6.24-5-pve
-> if your root partition is not on /dev/sda1 (for example if you used a custom partitioning scheme or are using softraid) you have to correct the \"root=\" setting in /boot/grub/menu.lst, either manually or using the following command:
export REALROOT=`grep ' / ' /proc/mounts |awk '{print $1}'`; sed -i \"s;\\(^kernel.*root=\\).*;\\1$REALROOT ro;g\" /boot/grub/menu.lst
Update(s):
Date: 2009-06-05 10:21:40 UTC The same procedure applies to the update from Proxmox 1.2 to Proxmox 1.3, released yesterday (june 4th):
-> update initrd with update-initramfs -tuk 2.6.24-7-pve
-> if you use Softraid, edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and change the \"root=\" parameter to reflect your local settings.
