On April 24, 2018 the Public Cloud API will start delivering longer authentication tokens. If you use the OVH API (api.ovh.com) or the OpenStack API (auth.cloud.ovh.net), you will get a new authentication token format, longer than the current one.
The current authentication token format is a hexa-decimal 32 characters string.
e.g.: 8f28b3363c614092be064b38ac4d1388
The new authentication token format will be a base 64 string longer than 100 characters.
e.g.: gAAAAABauZbhcXnnylbiZxJLkiiPT1mCHHdY1sBIfhJ_VRz7D4Jg4Bhaz95Se5sxV3uca4IBSxxGh_2kT7-uspKPaJ0gAz7nduCdocNCHJAe-OEXRn0gzajeah0wUbJhv1WYp6gxhtMYzDqDYgzoQIBJ9LDLi9W12uz0gzMmCUK-qYqFud1Gaxc
Please be sure that your applications are ready for the change. If you implemented rules to validate the format of the authentication token, please update these rules. If you store the token in a highly structured storage (e.g.: a SQL database column), please check that the storage will be able to store the complete token.
Best Regards,
OVH Public Cloud Team
