We lost 4x100Gbps between Los Angeles and Ashburn. The routing is being rerouted to the west/middle USA. Our provider inform us about a fiber cut on their side. No ETA from the provider yet

We switched traffic from some of our IXs in order to maintain acceptable latencies.

Our provider has identified the damage which was caused by construction work in the area. After assessing the damage, it has been determined approximately 1200 ft of cable will be placed in a conduit above ground.
This will be a temporary repair to expedite service restoration. Splice crews are at the site awaiting the replacement cable, which is expected to be at the site at approximately 2:30 GMT.
