We are scheduling a planned work on the optical lines London <> Amsterdam
- June 4th from 23:00 CET
These operations are intended to change optical parameters on the line in order to make it ready to support up to 80 channels. We are going to change optical parameters and insert new elements in nodes databases.
This line is also particular because we need to add additionnal RAMAN COP amplifiers on Leiston and Zandvoort nodes, on both sides of the CONCERT submarine cable span.
During the work, no traffic impact is expected as circuits will be switched to protection path.

Line is now operationnal again.
We experienced an issue on Leiston with one of the new RAMAN COP card. We modified the design to not use it now and put the link back in production.
All circuits have been tested and protection is now fully available again.

We are shutting down both Leiston and Zandvoort nodes.

We are moving back circuits to the working path in order to remove completely production traffic from the line.

We are temporarily moving some circuits on protection path in order to verify current OSNR and pre-FEC BER values. This will allow us to compare quality of the line once the full migration process will have been completed.

First step: upgrading Leiston and Zandvoort nodes with the new raman amplifiers and flex configuration.
